A lubricant cannot reduce

Lubricants are substances applied between moving surfaces to minimize friction (including static, kinetic, and rolling friction) by forming a slippery layer. However, inertia is an inherent property of matter that quantifies a body's resistance to any change in its state of rest or motion. It depends entirely on the mass of the object and cannot be altered or reduced by a lubricant.
