Name the first Indian to go into Space.

Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma became the first Indian citizen to travel into space on April 3, 1984. He flew aboard the Soviet spacecraft Soyuz $\text{T}-11$ as part of the Interkosmos program and spent nearly $8$ days aboard the Salyut $7$ space station.
