The administrative headquarters of the NDA was named the _____ Block, in honour of the sacrifices of Indian soldiers in the East African Campaign.

The main administrative building of the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla, Pune, is named the Sudan Block. This was constructed in honour of the sacrifices made by Indian troops in the East African Campaign during World War II, funded partly by a grant from the Sudanese government.
