Which crops are benefitted from the temperate cyclones arising from the Mediterranean Sea that cause rainfall in Punjab?

The temperate cyclones originating over the Mediterranean Sea travel eastward and enter India as Western Disturbances. They cause winter rainfall in Northwest India (including Punjab and Haryana). This winter precipitation (often locally referred to as Mahawat) is highly beneficial for the maturation of Rabi crops, especially winter wheat.
