The Kakori Train Action / Robbery was executed by revolutionaries of the Hindustan Republican Association (HRA) on August 9, 1925. During this year, Lord Reading served as the Viceroy and Governor-General of India (tenure 1921–1926). He was succeeded by Lord Irwin in 1926.
